Intechra is certified in Green Recycling and Asset Disposal for the Enterprise (G.R.A.D.E.) from industry analyst IDC.
IDC based the certification on a thorough review of Intechra's strategy, policies, operations and results. The report is IDC's first comprehensive review of the ITAD industry.
IDC's methodology focused on both the business and environmental impact of ITAD services. Analyst David Daoud created an evaluation system that measures an ITAD processor in five categories:
- Remote applications
- Onsite services
- Logistics
- In-plant processing
- Post treatment
The provider's service offerings determine how many points it receives in each category. Certified processors have to receive a specified percentage of total available points.
Intechra is the only independent ITAD provider to receive certification. Our board of directors is not beholden to a parent company nor is ITAD a service that is dwarfed by other lines of business. Intechra focuses solely ITAD, and we try to do it better than anyone.
A copy of the report is available on IDC's website (www.idc.com).

Affirmation for Intechra Strategy and Investments
Intechra's strategy from the beginning has been to build a large organization capable of scaling to the needs of Fortune 100 companies. We have also made investments to ensure Intechra has the most complete ITAD offering in the industry.
Here are five areas where Intechra excels:
- National footprint. Intechra operates six processing centers across the country. The facilities combined can process over 275,000 IT assets and recycle 8 million pounds of electronics per month.
- One source for all ITAD services. Intechra offers all three core ITAD services - remanufacturing, remarketing, and recycling - directly to clients. This continuity leads to more efficient service, better customer services, and comprehensive reporting.
- National logistics. Intechra is the only ITAD processor to have a fleet of vehicles capable of managing logistics more securely and affordably from anywhere in the U.S.
- Quality & Integrity.
- Intechra's certified processes all conform to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards for quality, environmental management, and health & safety.
- Intechra is a certified Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, adhering to all requirements for appropriate management of operating systems.
- Intechra is one of the first companies in the U.S. to sign the Electronic Recycler's Pledge of True Stewardship, assuring a zero-landfill and zero-export policy for all hazardous e-waste.
- Auditing and reporting. Intechra uses a three-part auditing process for data security that includes an outside auditor who reports only to the board of directors. For environmental compliance, Intechra thoroughly tracks the final disposition of any component sent to a third-party recycler (e.g. batteries).
